The Council of Ministers of B&H issued new Decision on Visas, which has been published in the “Official Gazette of B&H”, No: 100/2008 dated December 16th, 2008. Decision on Visas shall be put into effect as of December 24th, 2008. Nationals of the bellow listed countries shall be exempted from visa regime when entering and staying on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina up to 90 days:

- Montenegro
- Czech Republic
- Chile
- Denmark
- Estonia
- Finland
- France

- Israel
- Italy
- Japan
- Costa Rica
- Republic of Korea
- Canada
- Qatar
- Cyprus
- Kuwait
- Latvia
- Liechtenstein
- Lithuania
- Luxembourg
- Hungary
- Macedonia
- Malaysia
- Malta
- Sovereign Military Order of Malta
- Mexico
- Monaco
- Nicaragua
- the Netherlands

Citizens of the following special administrative zones that shall not be required to have visa when entering and staying on the territory of B&H: - Hong Kong (Peoples` Republic of China)
- Macao (Peoples` Republic of China)
Besides having travel document and a proper identity card proving identity and citizenship, the nationals of the following countries may enter Bosnia and Herzegovina: - EU member states
- Schengen Agreement signatory countries
- Andorra, Montenegro, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Serbia, the Holy See and the Swiss Confederation
